Cat Prison
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
It's a quest-like, puzzle and exploration-type adventure game.
You play as a cat living on a farmland on a journey to find his master and reveal many secrets on the way. Quirky, mystical, heartfelt.
Expect:
● Solve quest puzzles as a cat (not an unbeatable hero adventurer)
● Companions and friends on the way
● Many dialogues, items and locations to experience
● Farmland atmosphere (inspired by Stardew Valley like games and graphics)
● A mystical story you probably won't expect with twists along the way
● A little bit of combat (just for fun, really, it's not an RPG or a combat game)
Fixed in v1.02:
- Stuck unable to collect swamp water
- Stuck unable to make tea from kettle
I was not intending to publish it anywhere when I made it. It was more of a project to get familiar with RPG Maker MV as a tool, but I got hooked on the process and inspired by the idea of a cat protagonist game. Made it in two weeks. Used mostly stock assets and a little bit of free ones form the forums, which I can't properly credit right now since it was made a few years ago. It's a 100% playable, completeable and to an extent "polished". But it has at least one bug in logic as far as I remember (I think I fixed it in v1.02, yay! - Also, made versions for Mac/Android/Linux as well, non-tested but shoud be fine, at least the Mac one). Takes about an hour to complete. My wife and son played it on their own and the feedback was positive, so enjoy. And will be glad to hear your thoughts on it.

hey developer there no cat person game with zip file for Android
Im not sure if im not doing right but i cant get the android version to install
Enjoyable cozy and charming little characters and puzzles, well done on your first game! I like the references to Oh Long Johnson and Keyboard Cat. Unfortunately there is a bug when trying to obtain swamp water, no option of yes or no, so I can't progress.

it's the one bug I mentioned in the description as far as I remember. I wasn't able to catch it myself because as the creator I tend to do things in a way they were supposed to be done, my son caught it, but failed to describe what he did and when.
but fear not, you can play the game normally and finish it (still a lot to come)
try one of these ways:
1) check the basement barrel for a cup and try again with the swamp water
2) you choose new game and click through the part of game you already completed (it ill take you 3-3,5mins bc you already know what to do) and don't use swamp water before you got the cup
As I said it's 100% completeable

I'll look into the code for a fix, but I haven't used RPG Maker in 2+ years and don't remember much also don't remember how the game logic was made, so it will be a grind, in the meantime I hope you try to complete it beacuse the most interesting part is ahead in my opinion. Cheers
Okay, I think i fixed it in v1.01 (in Downloads), now the swamp water prompt will only be visible if player party has An old cup (from basement) in the inventory and already read the recipe it's intended for, before this it showed a "Gather swamp water" dialogue box without yes/no option in a case you read the recipe but didn't take the Old cup. Thats how I understand the code I wrote a while back at least.
In any case, the correct order of actions is read the recipe -> loot the cup -> gather water -> ...
I have no ability to test if your savefile is fixable with this new version, but I hope it is, if not use latest version and click through the part of the game you already beaten (it won't take long).
Sorry for the inconvinience and hope this bug is finally fixed.

Okay, your report lead me to troubleshoot and test for bugs more AND I found the bug that made my son's playthrough unplayable (it was a different one from yours, I finally remembered). What a rush!
So now I fixed the second bug as well. It had to do with the tea and kettle mechanics and it was a little bit more rare to encounter.
So enjoy the final and patched version 1.02 and also for those who wanted it there are Win/Mac/Android/Linux versions too.
This all made me learn the hard way that beta testing is a MUST, so thank you. <3
